MEET YOUR COACH
Hi, I’m Cris — a vocal and acting coach with over 20 years of professional experience in performance, teaching and coaching.
I have a First-Class degree in Theatre and Performance and a Master’s in Performance.
Alongside my academic training, I spent 20 years working professionally as an actor, performing in numerous plays, developing and producing my own work, and gaining first-hand experience of what it means to build confidence, take creative risks and connect with an audience.
Teaching has always been an important part of my work. Over the years, I’ve taught at a number of independent drama schools, working with students of different ages, abilities and levels of experience.
I’m currently completing a PGCE in Drama, further developing my teaching practice alongside my professional experience, and I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
Whether we’re working on singing, acting, LAMDA preparation or performance skills, I know that putting yourself out there can feel exposing. Finding your voice, stepping into a character or performing in front of someone requires confidence — and that confidence doesn’t always come naturally.
That’s why I aim to create sessions that are relaxed, encouraging and supportive. It’s a space where you can experiment, make mistakes, ask questions and develop without feeling judged.
We’ll work on the technique and skills you need, but just as importantly, we’ll work on confidence, individuality and helping you become a more assured performer. I don’t believe in trying to make everyone sound, act or perform in the same way. My role is to help you discover what works for you and give you the tools to develop it.
Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for a LAMDA examination or audition, developing your singing or acting skills, or simply looking to become a more confident performer, I’ll meet you where you are and help you take the next step.
MY STORY
I started out with a love of performing and a real curiosity about what makes a performance connect — how we use our voice, body and imagination to tell a story, create a character and hold an audience.
That curiosity led me to train professionally, gaining a First-Class degree in Theatre and Performance followed by a Master’s in Performance, specialising in Musical Theatre.
For over 20 years, I worked as a professional actor and performer across theatre and live entertainment. My stage credits include productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell, West Side Story, Honk!, Oklahoma!, Guys and Dolls, Mary Poppins and Chicago. Alongside performing in established productions, I’ve also created and produced my own theatre work and spent years performing with showbands across the UK and internationally.
Today, I also run my own elite wedding and corporate showband, performing for clients including Manchester City, Manchester United, Hilton, Peroni, Louis Vuitton and Emirates.
Teaching has always run alongside my professional performance career. I’ve taught acting, singing and performance at a number of independent drama schools, working with students of different ages and levels of experience. I’m currently completing a PGCE in Drama, building on those years of professional and teaching experience, and I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate.
My coaching now brings all of those different strands together. I offer vocal coaching across Musical Theatre, pop, soul, R&B and other contemporary styles, alongside acting coaching, LAMDA preparation, audition technique and wider performance skills.
Whether you’re preparing for an audition, working towards a LAMDA examination, developing a character, strengthening your singing voice or simply wanting to become a more confident performer, my focus is the same: giving you practical tools while helping you trust your own instincts.
Because ultimately, great performance isn’t about trying to be somebody else. It’s about developing the skills and confidence to step forward, make bold choices and feel ready to be heard.
